Updated October 29, 2026 · Public notice
Your information matters. This notice explains what information ZuriDate handles, why it is used, who can see it and how to contact us about it.
1. Who this notice covers
This notice describes how ZuriDate handles information through zuri.network and its connected account, dating, marketplace and support services. The dating service is for adults aged 18 and over. Some features are still undergoing testing; a feature description does not mean that feature is available.
For privacy questions, account-data requests or a concern about a test profile, contact support@zuri.network.
2. Information you provide
- Account information such as your name, email address and authentication details.
- Profile information you choose to submit, including age, photographs, biography, interests, relationship preferences and city/country. Information about religion, culture and relationship intentions can be sensitive; provide only what you want to share.
- Likes, passes, matches, messages and support requests.
- Where identity verification is used, identity-document images, a selfie and a challenge video. These are separate from your public profile photographs.
- Business, booking and transaction details where marketplace or payment features are available.
3. Google, LinkedIn and Instagram connections
If you choose an available social sign-in or account connection, the provider may supply an account identifier and the profile fields covered by the permissions you grant, such as name, email address or profile picture. The fields available differ by provider and account type. ZuriDate does not receive your password for that provider.
We use the supplied information to authenticate or connect your account and populate supported account fields. Social sign-in is not proof of government identity or KYC approval. You can manage the connection permissions in the provider’s own settings; contact support about the associated ZuriDate records.
4. How information is used
We use account and profile information to operate the service, authenticate users, display profiles, apply discovery preferences, deliver messages, review verification submissions, respond to support requests and investigate abuse or fraud. Where payments are enabled, transaction information is used for payment processing, reconciliation and the purchased service. Technical logs support security, fault diagnosis and service operation.
5. What other people can see
Information included in your dating profile, such as your name, age, city/country, photographs, biography and interests, may be shown to other users. Messages are intended for the conversation’s participants and may be reviewed by authorised personnel where needed for support, safety or abuse investigations. Recipients can copy or screenshot information; share thoughtfully.
Government-ID images, verification selfies and challenge videos are not public dating-profile content. The current verification workflow stores this evidence privately and restricts review to authorised staff. A pending submission is not an approval.
Clearly labelled synthetic QA profiles may be visible during testing. Their generated portraits do not represent real verified people.
6. Service providers and disclosures
The frontend is hosted through ChatGPT Sites and the application backend is hosted in Microsoft Azure. Hosting services and authorised operators process the information necessary to deliver the service. Social providers process their own sign-in flows under their privacy notices. Where enabled, Stripe, PayPal or Paystack process payments under their own terms and privacy notices; do not send card security codes or payment PINs to ZuriDate support.
Information may also be disclosed when required by applicable law or where necessary to investigate abuse, protect users or operate the service. We do not publish private identity evidence as profile content.
7. Browser storage, permissions and technical data
The app uses browser storage to retain session information and may use cookies for authentication and provider redirects. Technical requests can include an IP address, device/browser information, error details and request logs. Analytics may record page interactions where enabled. Clearing browser storage can sign you out.
Camera access is requested when you choose a camera feature. You can decline access or change the permission in your browser settings. Camera capture and uploading are separate steps. Country/city search uses a locally served place dataset rather than sending typed location queries to an external search service.
8. Retention, correction and deletion requests
Information is retained for service operation, support, safety, disputes and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Different categories can require different retention periods. This notice does not promise an automated deletion period that has not been implemented.
You can edit supported profile fields in the app. To request access, correction, deletion or disconnection of account information, email support@zuri.network. We may need to verify account ownership before acting. Where some records must be retained, support can explain the applicable limitation. Revoking provider access does not by itself delete all existing ZuriDate records.
9. Security and international processing
Access controls, authenticated APIs, password hashing and HTTPS help protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Information may be processed in the countries where our hosting, service providers and authorised operations are located. Do not upload real identity evidence to a test workflow unless you intend to submit it for that verification purpose.
10. Updates and contact
We may update this notice as the service and its integrations change. The date on this page identifies this version. For questions or requests, contact support@zuri.network.
